A bit about the role

A Store Manager's role at The Perfume Shop is all about leading and driving the success of the store.

The role is broken into key areas; growing sales & service, operational knowledge & protecting your stock, leading & coaching the team and knowing your product & owning the brand. All these elements are essential for our Store Managers to understand and be passionate about delivering.

And your experience...

  • Recent experience of managing in a customer facing environment
  • Recent experience of being accountable for a team, stock and procedures
  • An understanding or experience of working towards targets
  • A desire to understand or work with different technologies at work
  • A genuine interest in beauty and/or fashion brands

A bit about the store

Our Stand Alone store is our traditional store type, which means trading with a counter. This allows you the best of both worlds; to be able to provide exceptional service from in front or behind the counter. Either way it is important that our customers are treated the same and we follow our key rules of spraying on the skin, selling up and selling to all!

A little bit about us

We opened our first three retail stores here at The Perfume Shop over 20 years ago in 1992. Since then we have grown to be the largest single category fragrance retailer in the UK.

Our brand has become widely recognised across the UK and Ireland by our ever increasing presence on the high street and online, and we are proud to be owned by the A.S. Watson Group, Europe and Asia's largest health and beauty retailer. The A.S. Watson Group are also known in the UK for owning Superdrug and Savers.

With year on year objectives of growing our business we are well known for offering great fragrance deals on the high street and being the 'go to' experts for service. This is proved with our top 20 placements in the past few years in the well known Which? High Street Shops Satisfaction Survey.

We are also known for being a great place to work, securing a place in the Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to work for in the UK from 2012 to 2015. This is a great accolade to what our people think about us as a retail employer.
