Data & Insight Manager

A bit about the role

• Be responsible for developing a full customer data strategy whilst delivering timely insights on areas including but not limited to; promotion, product, brand performance, new launches and store insights
• Deliver a qualitative data strategy which includes fully utilising and developing the internal customer panel whilst seeking, reviewing and proposing opportunities outside of this
• Efficiently work with the Insight Analyst to ensure the delivery of market data, whilst building and maintaining relationships with our agency partners
• Investigate potential new leads to better understand our market trends
• Ensure data is reviewed, analysed and delivered in a timely and efficient manner to key stakeholders, whilst engaging other areas of the business
• Deliver customer segmentation, working with agencies and AS Watson teams, to ensure there is engagement across the whole business clearly identifying customer segments which can be used
• Manage and monitor brand awareness, whilst ensuring the brand awareness survey is delivered in the required timeframes
• Be accountable for analysing the brand awareness survey results, ensuring they are effectively delivered to the business
• Work with the Data Analyst to ensure the efficiency of reporting and implementation of new system innovations, whilst ensuring all customer databases are maintained efficiently
• Support the CRM, Data & Insight Manager in ensuring the business is prepared and compliant in line with the new GDPR legislation
• Manage the Data Analyst and Insight Analyst by providing day to day support, whilst proactively identifying developmental opportunities and training needs throughout the team
• Assist in the training and coaching of the Data Analyst and Insight Analyst to an acceptable standard with the relevant systems, MS Office applications, and software
• Take ownership for conducting regular one to one meetings and appraisals in a timely manner, setting clear and achievable objectives and ensuring development plans are in place
• Act as a lead example to drive engagement and ensure a high level of service is offered within the business
• Take accountability for developing and maintaining positive working relationships across the Data and Loyalty team

What we will look for from you...

• Previous experience in an insight or analytical role
• Experience in a fast paced retail or marketing environment
• Experience of dealing with and analysing large volumes of data
• Experience of having used analytical tools and systems (e.g. SQL, SPSS or other in-house
• Previous experience of managing a small team
• Working knowledge of combining more than one data source to gain insight
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to influence where required
• Strong numerical skills
• Demonstrable prioritisation, organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task
