We’re looking for a fabulous Digital Data Engineer to join our eCommerce team and play a key role in supporting the team in developing and delivering data solutions to aid in detailed customer behaviour and performance analysis across our website and marketing channels.  

You’ll report to the Digital Marketing and Analytics Manager and be responsible for building, managing, and troubleshooting our insight tools and reports.


·         Develop use of BI and data preparation tools to enable the eCommerce team to utilise data from different sources to better understand customer behaviours and trends. As well as managing the implementation of new tools and any ongoing maintenance.

·         Work with stakeholders to understand reporting and insight needs.

·         Identify opportunities for data acquisition, data usage and insight generation, whilst also developing team reporting to drive insight into site performance.

·         Align with the Systems Team and relevant AS Watson Departments on cross departmental projects, as well as working alongside our digital marketing agencies on implementing tracking and providing data to platforms where applicable.

·         Implement tracking via source code to drive further analytic insights.


·         A passion for understanding digital data and enjoy working with large datasets, as well as a strong understanding of the digital retail landscape.

·         Experience with BI tools as well as data visualization tools.

·         Strong coding skills and experience with programming language such as Python.

·         Good understanding of Google Analytics 360 Suite including Analytics & Data Studio.

·         Strong knowledge of SQL.
