Purpose of the role

To provide an excellent level of administrative service across our business. 

Key Duties / Responsibilities

  • Work with Managers and departments across the business to provide administration support for sending and receiving post, managing incoming calls and visitors
  • Support the Administration Manager in liaising with our suppliers of administrative services when required, including but not limited to post, couriers, stationary and water, to resolve any queries or problems, ensuring you escalate any unresolved issues in a timely manner
  • Act as an ambassador and the first point of contact for the business by answering all external calls on the switchboard, responding to general enquiry e-mails and greeting all visitors
  • Liaise with the Stores, Area Managers, High Wycombe Departments and Warehouse to support them with excellent administrative service
  • Be the first point of contact with our suppliers and arrange orders for goods such as couriers, taxis, business lunches and stationery for both High Wycombe office and our Stores
  • Import stationary orders from our internal communication system ‘The Pulse’, ensuring orders are placed promptly and queries responded to in a timely manner
  • Obtain quotes when required and order general office supplies in a timely and accurate manner
  • Process external mail, ensuring this is franked or logged online, whilst organising the weekly mail out via Royal Mail when required
  • Sort and distribute all incoming post, including accepting and checking larger deliveries into our Warehouse when required
  • Process the internal mail, ensuring it is received, collated and distributed across the business in a timely and accurate manner
  • Complete general housekeeping duties within the warehouse such as recycling used toners, sorting pallets and ensuring the area is safe and tidy
  • Work with the Store Operations team to fulfil uniform orders for Store employees

  • Some experience of having worked within a similar role


  • Knowledge of MS Office 


  • Demonstrable accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • The ability to organise your own workload effectively, using good time management and prioritisation skills 


  • Previous experience of having worked within a Retail environment

Contracted Hours - 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
