The purpose of this role is to ensure the design and delivery of all marketing materials within our eCommerce and CRM teams is completed within the required timeframes. This role will also be involved in contributing towards the organisation and development of new digital initiatives to create a unique and positive user experience. 


• Support the Senior Digital Designer with the planning, design and delivery of all creative and digital artwork material, ensuring you provide innovative ideas for future projects
• Continually update and maintain any promotional and internal design materials in keeping with The Perfume Shop’s brand and supplier guidelines
• Work with other departments, to ensure design work is produced accurately, in line with The Perfume Shop’s guidelines and in a timely manner 
• Support the Junior Digital Designers to ensure their design work is correctly produced in line with The Perfume Shop’s guidelines, providing clear constructive feedback where necessary
• Communicate effectively with all areas of the business to ensure the delivery of a great design service
• Support the Senior Digital Designer in reviewing The Perfume Shop’s website content when required, ensuring you highlight any problem areas in a timely manner 
• Design a variety of HTML creative in accordance with best practice 
• Take accountability for maintaining an awareness of The Perfume Shop’s competitor campaigns and promotions, ensuring you highlight key competitor activity to the appropriate team member in a timely manner
• Be responsible for ensuring your knowledge is up to date on current digital design and technology trends, exploring new and innovative ideas that you can share with the business 
• Act as a mentor for the Junior Digital Designers when needed, escalating any apparent training needs to the Senior Digital Designer and Design Manager

• Previous experience within a similar design role 
• Previous experience of email design 

• A thorough knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign is essential as well as a good basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and animation
• Good understanding of responsive design 
• Working knowledge of DreamWeaver 
• Working knowledge of design fundamentals such as type, colour, layout and imagery creation 

• Good front-end development skills including using HTML and CSS 
• Good prioritisation, organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task 
• Excellent attention to design 
• Microsoft Office Skills 
• Ability to demonstrate your commercialism through knowledge of The Perfume Shop’s and competitor digital marketing campaigns 

• Previous experience of mentoring or supporting a small team 
• Experience of having worked within a retail or other fast paced industry 
• Experience of having represented brands and working with brand guidelines
