Purpose of the role

To proactively protect company staff and assets and to raise shrinkage awareness to minimise loss and risk to the business

Key Duties / Responsibilities
• Carry out investigations where required into acts of gross misconduct and breaches of company policies and procedures eg: Cash loss, stock loss or fraudulent activity
• CCTV, guarding
• Analyse data and identify areas of risk taking appropriate action and providing solutions
• Update, communicate and continuously develop Security and Compliance related policies and procedures
• Initiate projects to tackle local issues in conjunction with Regional Managers
• Has responsibility for the security in the DC
• Maintain up to date knowledge for all legal compliance to include GDPR
• Manage relationships with our third party security providers to include tendering, budget management, and setting/reviewing agreed service levels. Eg: Tagging, 
• Support and advise for stores, area and regional management within the region
• Improve awareness of shrinkage related issues through store visits, compliance checks and coaching
• Champion and promote a culture within the business of security and compliance awareness and ensure this is maintained to minimise losses
• Liase with police following losses caused by either internal or external influences such as burglaries, robberies, theft or fraud in the region
• Manage processes for stock loss recovery within the region
• Manage budget for and control third party security within the region
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders
• Work with the HR Department to prepare any necessary paperwork and evidence for investigations and litigation

• A Retail Management background or previous experience within a similar role
• Previous experience of managing a team
• Experience in conducting and preparing investigations
• Ability to demonstrate excellent organisational and influencing skills 
• Effective decision maker
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Self motivated and a good team player
• A full UK driving licence is essential

As part of the role the successful candidate will at times be required to stay away overnight at short notice. 

• An understanding of retail and warehouse operations, including stock taking and supply chain
• Some basic knowledge of H&S, data protection, HR and consumer law 
• Multi site experience
