Scope of the Role
Currently we have an exciting opportunity for a Retail & Central Analyst to join our Finance team based in High Wycombe. 

Reporting into the Retail Finance Manager, we are seeking an individual to support the business and finance team in delivering insightful analysis, managing key areas of cost and providing accurate forecasting and variance analysis.

Alongside the Retail Finance Manager, you will be partnering with our Field, Central and Warehouse teams, ensuring accurate accounting, reconciliations, reporting and analysis.  The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a growing team and have good communication skills to liaise with both Finance and non Finance colleagues.

The role:
• Day to day management and reporting of key business costs
• Deliver weekly business reporting, accurately and on time
• Daily sales and margin reporting
• For the cost areas of responsibility, you will:
– Prepare monthly prepayments, accruals and journal postings
– Provide balance sheet reconciliations monthly
– Provide Flash forecasts monthly
– Deliver the month end P&L providing meaningful variance analysis to budget, forecast and last year
– Delivery of the annual budget and quarterly forecast following review with budget holders
• Adhoc analysis as required 

The above list is non-exhaustive and additional duties and analysis may be required.

What we look for from you:
• Part Qualified (CIMA/ACCA Stage 1 / 2) accountant and who can demonstrate a commitment to study
• Previous experience in a financial accounting role is essential
• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrate organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively in a fast paced environment
• Experience in one of more of the top ERP systems, preferably Oracle Financials is an advantage
• Good excel skills are an advantage, using vlookup, sumif’s, pivots (list not exhaustive).  
• Genuine enthusiasm to work in a busy retail environment and keenness to learn and develop
