Scope of the Role


Currently we have an exciting opportunity for an IT Systems Support Technician to join our Systems Support team based in High Wycombe. 

The Perfume Shop is known for its dynamic and progressive nature within the health and beauty industry. Trading since 1992, the Company’s acquisition in 2005 by the world’s largest health and beauty retailer, the A.S. Watson group, has increased our prominence in the beauty industry in the retail sector.

The purpose of this role is to be a part of the Systems Support Team and to resolve issues relating to Stores, Head Office and the Warehouse.

You will be:
• Using in-house call logging software to ensure all Store, Head Office and Warehouse queries via telephone and/or email are tracked and resolved in a timely manner. Fielding calls to the relevant team member as required.
• Develop strong working relationship with the Systems Team, our Stores, Head Office and Warehouse departments.
• Monitor systems backups, logging issues and escalating to specialists as required.
• Carry out checks on servers and monitors for alerts, logging and flagging up issues with the specialists.
• Supporting the team with job schedules.
• Changing report information in-line with recipients needs.
• Logging calls with 3rd party suppliers.
• Creating new user accounts, maintaining user profiles, password resets.
• Assist in the auditing of IT hardware and software license compliance.
• Setup, configure and provide IT support for all laptops, desktops, iPads and iPhones.
• Provide out of hours support for Stores, Head Office and Warehouse on a rota basis.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by Line Manager.

What we look for from you:
• Previous experience of using call logging software is desirable.
• Previous knowledge and experience of PC and Laptop build including configuration is desirable.
• Working knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7) and Microsoft Office applications would be an advantage.
• Broad based understanding of system checks and logging is desirable.
• Previous experience of having worked within a retail or FMCG environment would be an advantage.

Hours of work for this role will be on a shift basis, starting at 7.30am - 4.00pm or 9.30am to 6.00pm. Some weekend/evening work will also be required on a rota basis.
