Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and bring the magic of Christmas to life? We’re looking for talented people with a spark to join our team as a Christmas Sales Assistant. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where no two days are the same — perfect for those who thrive in a busy, buzzing environment and love spreading festive cheer.

Pay Rate: £8.51 - £12.60

Contracted Hours: 8

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Greet every customer with a warm welcome.
  • Confidently recommend products and help customers find the perfect gift.
  • Promote our exclusive loyalty card to boost customer savings and brand loyalty.
  • Gift-wrap like a pro — ribbons, wrapping, and all the festive trimmings.
  • Handle payments and transactions quickly and accurately.
  • Keep the store looking magical — tidy, stocked, and sparkling.

Your Hiring Journey at The Perfume Shop- Christmas Sales Assistant 

  1. Online Application 

    Your journey starts with a simple online application either via job boards like Indeed or directly through The Perfume Shop careers site. This is the start of the journey towards joining The Perfume People.

  2. Initial Contact 

    If your application catches our eye, you’ll receive a friendly phone call from one of our store managers. This is just a quick chat to learn more about your experience, confirm the role is a great fit for you, and arrange an in-store interview if successful.

  3. Interview Stage 

    Our interviews are designed to be relaxed and welcoming, after all we want the real you to shine.  

    You might experience: 

    • A one-to-one conversation or a small group interview. 
    • You may be asked about your customer service and teamwork experience, your availability, your retail background, and of course- your genuine passion for perfume! 
    • They might even ask you to get involved in an interactive task: 
    • Designing and pitching your own perfume 
    • Showing off your present wrapping skills 
    • Or a group activity or workshop-style challenge 

    We’re looking for people who are as enthusiastic about creating memorable customer moments as they are about beautiful perfumes. 

  4. Decision & Offer 

    We know waiting can be tough, so we aim to get back to you as quickly as possible – we aim for between 1-2 days.  

    If you’re successful, we’ll be in touch to offer you the role, discuss the offer details and what your first day will look like. 

  5. Onboarding 

    Once you join us, you’ll be welcomed with:
